The Little Earthquake This book is about three ladies from different places. They all have more than one conflict going on in their live.
One of them is Mary she is married and has two children (a boy and a girl) her daughter is paralyzed and son is drug addict. She thinks that it’s all her son’s fault that is like that. But actually it’s her own fault she was the one who used to take drugs in front of his child and never kept it away from them. Her actual conflict in here is with her husband who is a business man. He never gets time to spend with his family but, whenever he does, he takes care of his daughter and tries to do his best to work on his son.
Second life is a lady who lives in India and wants to have a nice life because she isn’t a person with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. So she can’t work and, her husband is a lazy man who once had a really good job but later on he was kicked out of his office. And that’s why she kind of hates her husband and wants to divorce him. But this is not it there is more detail to Julie’s life.
Third life is a lady who likes travelling but eventually she is stuck in china in a police case. We don’t know if she has committed a crime or not. But she is accused for working for people who sell drugs. She is originally from France. And there she works as a journalist. Lets she how does she defend herself.

Hasshama, why do you only give this book a B- rating? What do you not like about the book? You have summarized the major events, now you need to give your opinion of what is going on in the book. DO you like the characters? Do you agree with their decisions or opinions? Can you identify with any of the characters in the novel? The plot sounds interesting. I wonder why the author chose to tell the stories of these three ladies? Will they connect at some point? Or do they have common stories or outcomes? it will be interesting to see what happens.
